2019 Science & Technology Fair


This is our premiere event and is focused on scientific investigations and or technological process design work. Students projects may be either...


A science investigation in the project section is likely to be the presentation of a hypothesis, followed by the gathering of and analysis of data. All projects must have an independent scientific investigation

A technology exhibit in the project section is likely to show prototyping of a solution to a problem or issue and subsequent development of the prototype. All projects must have an independent technological design process.


Prizes                                                         

Each year we give away up to $10,000 worth of prizes.

Top Prizes - Winners of each age group categories receive $400 (includes $200 for an outstanding project). 

                   - One lucky senior student will win an all expenses paid trip to Otago Hands on Science 

Special Awards  - Up to forty special awards are given each year. 

Main Awards  - There are three categories of general awards 

Outstanding                    $200

Highly Commended      $150

Commended                   $100                


Spot Prizes - Thousands of dollars worth of spot prizes are given away each year.

All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Students who attended our workshops at EIT this year may submit a written port (if successful, this pilot initiative will be offered to all senior students next year)
